Our story

Rooted in place.
Growing with purpose.

Paradise Roots Hawaii is a family-led agricultural venture taking shape in Puna on Hawaiʻi Island.

A farm built from the ground up

What began with a planted corner of agricultural land is becoming a diverse tropical growing system. We are establishing fruit trees, bananas, pineapple, coffee, māmaki, root crops, herbs and spices while learning from the climate, soil and seasons of our island home.

Our north star

Grow useful crops. Care for the land. Build a resilient local farm one season at a time.

The values behind the rows

Stewardship

Work with the land, improve the soil and make careful use of water and materials.

Resilience

Diversify crops and build systems suited to Hawaiʻi Island’s tropical environment.

Community

Grow toward local sales, trusted relationships and a stronger island food network.

A small farm with a long view

Across approximately 12,000 square feet, red cinder, lava-rock tree rings and layered plantings are becoming a living tropical food forest. The fenced farm is expanding month by month around a compact 600-square-foot home footprint.
