Know before you order
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about our farm, seasonal availability, pricing, local pickup and products.
How do I know what is available?
The stock status on each product page reflects what can be ordered. Seasonal products may remain visible between harvests for reference, but an item marked out of stock cannot be purchased.
What does Paradise Roots Hawaii grow?
Our food forest includes multiple banana varieties, pineapple and white pineapple, guavas, avocado, papaya, dragon fruit, citrus, soursop, Surinam cherry, mulberry, coffee, māmaki, lemongrass, basil, rosemary, Okinawan sweet potato, taro, ginger, turmeric and other tropical plants. Availability follows the farm—not a fixed warehouse catalog.
How are fresh products priced?
Each product page identifies its selling unit. Produce may be priced per pound, per piece, per bundle or per package. At in-person markets, produce sold by weight is weighed at checkout and charged at the posted per-pound price.
How does Hawaiʻi Island pickup work?
Fresh produce and live plants are available through confirmed Hawaiʻi Island pickup when listed. The private pickup location and time window are provided with the accepted order. Paradise Roots is a private working farm and residence with no unannounced visits or walk-in sales.
Are all orders local pickup?
Yes. Paradise Roots Hawaii fulfills customer orders through confirmed Hawaiʻi Island pickup only. The pickup area, date and time window are provided with an accepted order.
How are online produce weights handled?
Online listings state the order format, such as a fixed-weight pack, estimated-weight item or payment-at-pickup reservation. Natural produce varies, so any permitted adjustment process is disclosed on the product page before you order.
Can fruit-box contents change?
Yes. Seasonal fruit boxes follow the best available harvest. The listing identifies the expected mix and explains the substitution policy. Use the order notes to identify allergies or items you cannot accept; we will confirm whether the request can be honored.
Is the farm or every product certified organic?
No blanket organic claim is made. We use “organic” only where a specific ingredient or finished product is properly supported. An ingredient certification does not mean the entire farm or finished product is USDA certified organic.
Do you offer pantry goods and tea?
Small-batch pantry goods and tea are listed as batches become available. Prepared products are offered only after applicable recipe, production, labeling, food-safety, shelf-life and packaging requirements are met.
Can I buy banana keiki, cuttings or herb starts?
Nursery stock is released when plants are healthy and established. Nursery products are available through confirmed Hawaiʻi Island pickup only. Customers are responsible for lawful planting and ongoing care after pickup.
Can I visit or tour the farm?
The farm is also a private home and is not open for walk-in visits. Any future scheduled tours or events will be announced separately and will require confirmation.
How do I get harvest updates?
Follow the Farm Journal and Gallery, or request harvest alerts through our Contact page. Questions can also be emailed to ParadiseRootsHawaii@gmail.com.
