A family-owned, approximately 12,000-square-foot farm built in layers: fruit canopy, productive understory, roots, herbs, teas and useful tropical landscaping.
A diversified tropical system
Fruit canopy
Avocado, citrus, soursop, guava, papaya, mulberry, Surinam cherry and dragon fruit form the long-term structure.
Banana collection
Apple, Cavendish, Cuban Red, Ice Cream, Cotton Candy, Chinese and Dwarf Hawaiian bananas create productive mid-level canopy.
Roots, herbs & tea
Okinawan sweet potato, taro, ginger, turmeric, basil, purple Thai basil, rosemary, māmaki, lemongrass and aloe fill the lower layers.
The growing timeline
July 2026 · Foundation
ParadiseRootsHawaii.com launched, the tropical orchard was established, multiple fruit trees were planted and the first landscaping systems were completed.
August 2026 · Documentation
Continued planting, crop records and monthly photo updates.
2027 · First major harvests
Seasonal fruit, herbs and nursery material move toward local availability.
2028 · Expanded food forest
Deeper canopy, broader crop diversity and more resilient production.
2030 · Mature farm goal
Reliable fruit and herb production, nursery sales, a ready online storefront and carefully considered agritourism opportunities.
